‘Border 2’ breaks all box office boundaries on the first of its release

Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film ‘Border 2’ has taken the theatres by storm with its release. By earning huge on the very first day, the film proved that the audience’s passion for patriotic cinema is as strong even today. The opening of the film was so strong that the records of many big films at the box office were shattered like a house of cards.

Leaving behind 22 films including ‘Dhurandhar’,

‘Border 2′ has registered a historic opening at the box office, completely living up to the expectations of trade experts and audience. According to the makers’ report, the film has collected around Rs 32.10 crores at the Indian box office on the first day. With this impressive opening, the film has left behind 22 films including ‘Donkey’ (29.2 crores), ‘Dangal’ (29.19 crores), ‘Race 3’ (29.17 crores), ‘Mission Mangal’ (29.16 crores), ‘War 2’ (29 crores), ‘Dhurandhar’ (28 crores) and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (27.25 crores).

Looking at the box office run of the film, it is believed that it will easily enter the 100 crore club in the first weekend itself. The Republic Day holiday falling on January 26 can prove to be icing on the cake for the film.

Filmy pandits estimate that if this trend continues, the film can even touch the Rs 200 crore mark in the four-day long weekend.

Sunny Deol, along with Diljit, Varun, and Ahan, add to the excitement.

Sunny Deol, playing Lieutenant Colonel Fateh Singh Kler in the film, has once again proven that his “Dhai Kilo Ke Haath” (two and a half kilos of hands) still resonates. Diljit Dosanjh is impressive as a brave soldier, Varun Dhawan infuses his role as a young army officer with fresh energy, while Ahan Shetty carries his character with gusto. Overall, “Border 2” has made it clear on its first day that it’s not just a film, but a box office storm.
