Prayagraj, 22 January: The controversy that commenced regarding Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand bathing in the Ganga at the Magh Mela on Mauni Amavasya is not ending as now the Prayagraj Mela Authority has sent a second notice to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj warning him that if a proper reply is not given within 24 hours, the facilities provided by the Mela Authority will be cancelled and his entry into the Mela area will be banned forever.

The above information was given by Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj’s media in-charge Shailendra Yogi Sarkar on Thursday.
He said that another notice issued by the Mela administration has created anger among Shankaracharya’s devotees.
Shailendra Yogi Sarkar said that now the government is taking action with a spirit of change. Shailendra said that the administration posted another notice behind the Shankaracharya camp pandal, also backdated, and came and said, “You haven’t responded to this notice.” We only learned about this after an administrative employee told us. He said that the response to the notice is ready and will be sent soon.
