Government land, reclaimed from Masjid encroachment, allotted to the poor in Sambhal

Sambhal, January 4: After the committee demolished a masjid built on government land in Salempur Salar alias Hajipur, village in the Asmoli police station area of โ€‹โ€‹Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, the district administration allotted the land to the twenty economical weaker sections.

The district administration had given time until today to demolish this illegally ‘constructed’ mosque. After receiving a notice from the administration, the mosque was reduced to rubble with a hammer and the debris by the locals. On Sunday, a government team arrived in the village. The team took action against the madrasa built on government land and allotted the freed land to 20 eligible poor and destitute people.

During the action, the district magistrate (DM) Dr Rajendra Pansiya and the superintendent of police Krishna Kumar Bishnoi were present along with a large number of police personnel and administrative officers.

In this regard, the DM Dr Rajendra Pansiya said that illegal construction is always removed. Here too, action has been taken under Section 67 on the orders of the Tehsildar Court. In this sequence, today the Madrasa which was built on 1500 square meters out of 4000 square meters and commercial activities were also being carried out by constructing shops. Rent was also being collected from these shops, they have also been removed. The remaining hall which is still standing is also being demolished.

The DM said that the land freed from encroachment has been allotted to 20 eligible people who are poor and destitute.
