Lucknow, December 19: A shocking incident has occurred in Bastauli village, in the Ghazipur police station area of ​​Lucknow when a three-year-old girl playing on the rooftop was shot in the head. Fortunately, the girl survived, said police.
Currently, her condition is said to be out of danger after the surgery. Police are investigating where the bullet came from and who fired it.
According to the police, Ramesh, a resident of Bastauli village, had his three-year-old daughter, Laxmi, playing with her brothers, Saubhagya (8) and Himansh (7), under a tin shed on the roof. Suddenly, a loud noise occurred, and Laxmi’s head began to bleed. Hearing the girl’s cries, the family panicked and she was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed an hour-long operation to remove the bullet pellets and save her life.
Station in-charge Ghazipur, Rajesh Kumar Maurya, stated today that information was received about a girl being shot in the head. A case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the victim’s father. An investigation is underway to determine where the bullet came from and who fired it. All possible aspects are being investigated thoroughly.
Police say the area around the scene is being searched and the situation will be clarified soon.
