This work has been done not only in Uttar Pradesh but across the country. I recall that during the attack on Parliament on December 13, 2001, PAC personnel killed all the terrorists in an encounter. During the terrorist attacks on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya complex in July 2005, the CRPF, PAC, and Uttar Pradesh Police jointly neutralized all the terrorists.

The work of strengthening the PAC in terms of capability, training, and technology is ongoing. State-of-the-art technology and security equipment has been provided. The training curriculum is also being revised. Today, the PAC has the largest number of young people. Services are provided to the dependents of soldiers who died during service. Our government has ensured at least 20% women participation in police recruitment. With this in mind, four women battalions of the PAC are being established.

CM Yogi stated that Uttar Pradesh has a better environment of security and good governance, and the government’s policy of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals continues. In the last 8 years, 2.19 lakh personnel were recruited in the UP Police Force. 20 percent reservation for women has been ensured. More than 44,000 women police personnel are serving in the UP Police Force. Police training capacity has increased manifold. High-rise buildings have replaced dilapidated thatched buildings, setting new standards for UP’s infrastructure. The commissionerate system has been implemented in 7 districts. Modern policing, cyber police stations, and cyber cells have become hallmarks of the UP Police. With the establishment of the UP Forensic Science Institute in Lucknow, the institute has established itself as a state-of-the-art training center in the country. Twelve state-of-the-art FSL labs are ready in the state, and six new ones are operational.

Three women PAC battalions have been formed

Chief Minister stated that Mission Shakti 5.0 is promoting women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance, as well as their health and empowerment. For the first time, three additional women’s PAC battalions have been formed in Uttar Pradesh (Virangana Uda Devi in โ€‹โ€‹Lucknow, Jhalkari Bai in Gorakhpur, and Avanti Bai in Badaun). Land has been acquired in Jalaun and Mirzapur for the establishment of three other women’s battalions. Land acquisition is underway in Balrampur. Recruitment for 106 female sub-inspectors and 2,282 female constables has also accelerated. He also mentioned the achievement of the Safe City goal in 17 municipal corporations and the contribution of six UPSSF battalions in protecting important sites and buildings across the state.

Yogi stated that he can confidently assert that the rule of law is behind the confidence in Uttar Pradesh. The rule of law can better guarantee good governance in a better security environment. Good governance will attract better investment, which will lead to the state’s development. A better future will be created for the youth. The reign of the new Uttar Pradesh begins here.
