Lucknow, December 6: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter list process is being conducted with seriousness and complete transparency in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, a case has been filed against a mother and her two sons living abroad for concealing facts and filling wrong information in the SIR form in Rampur district.
The District Magistrate Rampur Ajay Kumar Dwivedi said that in Part No. 248 of Assembly Constituency 37, Rampur, a case came to light where the Booth Level officer (BLO) received the counting forms from the voters and filled in wrong information while feeding their digital forms.
The District Magistrate said that during the SIR, it came to light that the counting forms were filled in the name of voter number 645 Aamir (currently residing in Dubai) and voter number 648 Danish (currently residing in Kuwait). It became clear in the investigation that Noorjahan, the mother of the two persons, had submitted the counting forms in their names by concealing the true facts, which is a serious violation of the election rules.
DM apprised that on this, the Assistant Registration Officer lodged a complaint at the Civil Lines police station and an FIR was registered against the woman Noorjahan, her sons Aamir Khan and Danish Khan.
The DM has appealed to the people of the district that action will be taken against the concerned person for any kind of wrong entry, hiding facts or giving wrong details in the SIR work.
