At least 1.48 cr students of UP council schools to participate in “Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav-25”

Lucknow, November 28: The Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav-2025 will be held in approximately 1.32 lakh council schools across Uttar Pradesh from December 4 to 11, with approximately 1.48 crore students expected to participate. Orders have been issued for the preparations for this seven-day event, being organized on the instructions of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh will lead the festival. The theme of the event is “Many Languages, One Emotion.”

Minister Sandeep Singh said on Friday that the aim of this festival is to instill in children pride in their mother tongue, respect for Indian languages, and the emotional power of multilingual culture. The festival will conclude on the birth anniversary of the great poet Subramania Bharati. A different theme has been set for each day of the seven-day program. On December 4, schools will host a Language Tree and Linguistic Heritage Wall, followed by poetry and song presentations on December 5, festival-based cultural programs and language podcasts on December 6, and a Unity in Proverbs and Language Friend activity on December 8. On December 9, a Bhasha Bandhu Patra and multilingual story series, on December 10, a Language Exploration Club, and on December 11, an interactive language fair and language theater will be organized.

Director General of School Education, Monika Rani, stated that the Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2025 will strengthen students’ affinity for their mother tongue and respect for Indian languages, and will more effectively embed the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020 in schools.
