Ghaziabad, November 26: In view of the proposed visit of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Ghaziabad on Thursday, the Commissionerate Police has declared ten police station areas as no-drone/temporary red zones.
In this regard, the Additional CP Law and Order (L&O) imposed a prohibitory order on Wednesday, which will remain in effect until midnight of November 27.
The media in-charge of Police Commissioner J Ravindra Gaur said that prohibitory orders have been imposed in the Commissionerate in view of the proposed visit of the Chief Minister. Muradnagar, Mussoorie, Wavecity, Kavinagar, Madhuban Bapudham, Sihani Gate, Nandgram, Indirapuram, Kaushambi and Sahibabad police station areas have been declared completely no-drone/temporary red zones. Flying objects of any kind will be strictly prohibited in these areas.
Instructions have been issued for media persons and organizers that if they want to take photos or videos with drones in restricted areas, they will have to provide complete details of the drone and the operator to the local police station. It will be mandatory to obtain permission from the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Police. Drones can be used only after getting permission. Operation of drones will also be prohibited in all government establishments, offices and other sensitive places of the Commissionerate without the permission of the DCP.
Additional CP Law and Order Alok Priyadarshi said that if any person or group flies a drone or other flying object in violation of the order, it will be destroyed immediately and legal action will be taken against the concerned person.
