Lucknow, November 11: The Security has been beefed up across Uttar Pradesh following the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening.




The Police, UP ATS, Special Task Force (STF), and other security agencies are on high alert. Intensive checking is being carried out in all districts, including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Kanpur, Mathura, and Varanasi.Â
In Lucknow, DCP West Vishwajeet Srivastava, along with ADCP West, ACP Kaiserbagh, ACP Bazarkhaala, and a large police force, conducted a flag march in the Charbagh area on Tuesday morning. Police teams thoroughly searched the bus stand, metro station, and nearby hotels. Dog squads and bomb disposal squads also conducted searches at several locations. Police are maintaining strict vigil within Lucknow and on the borders. Suspicious individuals are being questioned.
The Police launched a checking campaign in Hazratganj, the city’s most posh area. Four-wheeled vehicles were stopped and searched. In addition to Lucknow, police in all districts, including Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura, and Kanpur, are on full alert. Bus stands, railway stations, hotels, and dharamshalas are also being checked. Police are on high alert in crowded areas. Local intelligence agencies have also been alerted. Vigilance is also being maintained in districts bordering India and Nepal.
Senior police officers at Police Headquarters are in contact with senior police officers in the districts.
It is noteworthy that following the Delhi incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna to put the entire police force on high alert and ensure intensive checking and security. Following this, the police became vigilant and began operations last night.Â
