43-yr-old bus driver dies of cardiac arrest on Purvanchal Expressway

Sultanpur, November 5: A bus driver from Haryana died of cardiac arrest on the Purvanchal Expressway in the Dostpur police station area of โ€‹โ€‹Sultanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday. The body was taken to Haryana in a private ambulance.

The Dostpur police station in-charge said that at km 166 of the Purvanchal Expressway in the area, there were two drivers in a private bus traveling from Haryana to Bihar. One driver was driving the bus, while the other was resting. The driver who was resting suddenly became ill. The other driver immediately stopped the bus and informed the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The UPEIDA immediately arranged for an ambulance.

The driver was taken to the Community Health Center in Dostpur, where Dr. RK Pandey declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Jitendra (43), son of Om Prakash, resident of Siwana, Jhajhar police station, Haryana. The other driver driving the bus is identified as Diwan, son of Krishna Lal, resident of Gidra, Sirsa Police Station, Haryana.

The station in-charge stated that the deceased’s family has been informed of the incident. The body was then transported to Haryana in a private ambulance. Meanwhile, Diwan left for Bihar with the bus.
