Lucknow, October 28: The Lucknow police on Tuesday arrested the wife and her lover in connection with the murder of a husband whose body was found on October 25 in the Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) police station area. The lover had murdered her husband at the wife’s behest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), North Amol Murkut told reporters that the body of Pramod Gautam, a contract worker at the police lines, was found lying on the roadside outside Mampur village near the Outer Ring Road in BKT. Based on surveillance and police investigation, Pramod’s wife, Chandni, and her lover, Bachcha Lal, have been arrested.
According to the police, wife was deeply distressed by her husband’s alcohol addiction and violence. She wanted to remove him from her path, so she hatched a plan with her lover. On the day of the incident, her lover, Bachcha Lal, took Pradeep to the Ring Road and made him drink alcohol. He was heavily intoxicated and shot Pradeep in the back and right temple, killing him. After the incident, the accused fled with the deceased’s motorcycle. Following all the evidence and confessions, the police have arrested the deceased’s wife and her lover and are taking further action.
