Lucknow, 26 October: A young man committed suicide by shooting himself inside a car late on Saturday night in Hazratganj police station area of โโUttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. On receiving the information, the police station and forensic team reached the spot, investigated and sent the body for post-mortem.
The Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP) Vikas Kumar Jaiswal told on Sunday that last night on Saturday at 11:40 pm, a young man shot himself while sitting in a car near Hari Om Temple under Hazratganj police station. On receiving the information, the police station, Deputy Commissioner of Police Central, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Central and he along with the field unit reached the spot and investigated.
During the investigation, it was initially found that a young man sitting on the driver’s seat of a car (UP 32 KE 8099) parked in running condition had shot himself in the temple. A revolver was found in his right hand and 4 live cartridges in a small foil, 1 empty cartridge in the revolver and 5 live cartridges (total 9 live cartridges and 1 empty cartridge) were found nearby.
The revolver’s license was also found in the purse found with the deceased, due to which he was identified as Ishaan Garg, a resident of Rajajipuram, Tal Katora. The body has been sent for post-mortem and the family has been informed about the incident. The reasons for the suicide are being investigated.
