Lucknow, October 19: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, and prayed to Lord Shri Ram for their happiness, prosperity, and a happy life.

In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that festivals and celebrations convey the message of peace, unity, and harmony and promote social harmony. Diwali is an important festival in India’s Sanatan Dharma tradition. Thousands of years ago, devotees across Bharatkhand began celebrating this festival by decorating their homes with garlands of lamps to commemorate the return of Lord Shri Ram to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and the inauguration of Ramrajya.

Chief Minister said that it is our good fortune that Ayodhya, the holy birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, is in Uttar Pradesh. The state government is re-establishing the ancient and glorious tradition of celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya through the celebration of ‘Deepotsav’ and is working to introduce the entire world community to the glory of Ayodhya.
