DirectedĀ by Anshul Sharma, the film will feature an interesting twist with versatile actor R Madhavan playing Rakul Preet Singh’s father role. At the trailer launch, Madhavan shared his thoughts on his character, his experience working with Ajay Devgn, and the sequel.Ā
Madhavan revealed that this was his first time playing a father in a film, and he was initially a little nervous about the experience. Smiling, he said, “I’ve never played a father before, and playing Ajay’s father-in-law was challenging in itself. Sharing the screen with a star like Ajay was a great experience, but I was really nervous in the beginning.”Ā
The actor also praised Ajay Devgn’s professionalism. He said, “I’ve seen many stars busy on set, but Ajay Sir is always fully present. He’s a very dedicated and disciplined actor. We felt a unique connection working with him.”Ā
Expressing his opinion on the increasing number of sequels in the film industry, Madhavan said he has no objections, provided the story is strong. “As long as the script is good, there’s no problem with sequels. The story of ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is fun, emotional, and refreshing. We’re confident audiences will love it. We’ve made it with a lot of love and effort.”Ā
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is a sequel to the 2019 hit film ‘De De Pyaar De’, in which the chemistry between Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and Tabu won audiences’ hearts. This time, the sequel will offer a double dose of romance and comedy. The film will release in theaters on November 14.
