Patna, October 12: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reached an agreement on seat-sharing for the Bihar Assembly Elections-2025. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bihar in-charge for Bihar Assembly Elections and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave this information on the social media platform on Sunday.
Dharmendra Pradhan wrote on the social media platform, “We, the NDA allies, have completed the seat distribution in a cordial atmosphere. BJP-101, JDU 101, LJP (R)-29, RLM-06 and HAM-06 seats.” He further wrote, “Workers and leaders of all NDA parties welcome this with joy. Bihar is ready, NDA government again.”
Giving this information on social media, Janata Dal United (JDU) National Executive President Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “BJP and JDU will contest on 101 seats each. We, the NDA allies, have completed the seat distribution in a cordial atmosphere. The leaders and workers of all the NDA parties welcome this with joy and are determined and united to make Chief Minister Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister again with a huge majority.” He wrote, “Bihar is ready, NDA government again.”
Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde wrote on the social media platform X that the united and dedicated NDA has completed the seat distribution for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in a cordial atmosphere and by mutual consent. Leaders and workers from all NDA parties have joyfully welcomed this decision. All allies have geared up and are determined to form an NDA government in Bihar again.
Indeed, the seat sharing makes it clear that there is no older brother in the Bihar NDA. This time, the BJP and JDU will contest an equal number of seats, 101 each, whereas in all previous assembly elections, Nitish Kumar’s party had won more seats than the BJP.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi did not get the seat he desired. He wanted 15-20 seats, but only got 6. This represents a loss of one seat compared to 2020. Last time, he contested 7 seats and won 4. However, this time, despite demanding 15 seats, he won only 4. Instead of increasing it, it was reduced.
The opposition Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) is still working on its own seat distribution.ย
