New Delhi, October 7: President Droupadi Murmu said that the Indian Armed Forces demonstrated exceptional jointness and strategic foresight during Operation Sindoor, which successfully dismantled the cross-border terrorist infrastructure. She said that the balanced and coordinated tri-service action led to effective synergy, which made the operation successful.
President Murmu was addressing the faculty and course members of the 65th course of the National Defence College (NDC) at an event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.
She said that the security system of any nation is based on its national interests and objectives, but for India, universal values โโand the spirit of humanity are at the core of these interests. Indian tradition has always viewed all humanity as one family.
She stated that India’s armed forces not only champion peace and universal brotherhood but are also always prepared to counter elements inimical to humanity and the nation. In this context, he described the success of Operation Sindoor as a symbol of tri-service cooperation and strategic vision.
The President noted that the process of promoting jointness began with the establishment of the Department of Military Affairs and the appointment of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). He added that work is now underway towards the establishment of Integrated Theatre Commands and Integrated Battle Groups.
Emphasizing the need for dynamic response to the changing geopolitical and security landscape, the President stated that India is moving towards transforming its armed forces into a technologically advanced force capable of multi-domain integrated operations.
She commended the National Defence College, saying that this international program has now become a standard learning initiative, strengthening national, regional, and global cooperation in security.
