The film had a great start and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just two days. Although the figures dropped slightly on the second day, and the film collected โ‚น45 crore, the film’s overall Indian box office collection has reached โ‚น106.85 crore in just two days. The film is very close to its โ‚น125 crore budget.

Significantly, the film is being widely appreciated in Kannada and Hindi. On its first day, it earned โ‚น19.6 crore in Kannada and โ‚น18.5 crore in Hindi, which is considered an impressive figure for any film. ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is a prequel to the blockbuster film ‘Kantara’ and is directed by Rishab Shetty himself. The film also stars Rukmini Vasantha and Gulshan Devaiah in pivotal roles.

Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ was released on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra, alongside ‘Kantara Chapter 1’. The film had a strong start, earning โ‚น9.25 crore on its first day, but its numbers plummeted on the second day, earning just โ‚น5.25 crore. The impact of clashing with the massive film “Kantara Chapter 1” is clearly visible on the film’s earnings.
