Lucknow, September 23: The Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that Azam Khan is a founding member of the SP. He is not going anywhere. He is Netaji and we are with the SP. He has been implicated in false cases.

False cases against Azam Khan will be withdrawn if the SP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh

SP national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was speaking to presser in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Regarding Azam Khan’s release from Sitapur jail, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Today is a day of happiness for all of us. We welcome the court’s decision.”

He alleged that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has withdrawn cases against several of its party leaders. “If the Samajwadi Party government is formed in the state, not only will all cases against Azam Khan be withdrawn, but we will also withdraw those who have been charged with false cases.”

The SP president said that the BJP government is discriminating against the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) communities. The government should not have houses and temples washed based on caste.
