3 Bihar men held in Noida for allegedly duping a retired officer by digitally arresting

Gautam Buddha Nagar, 18 September: Noida Cyber ​​Crime police today arrested three cyber criminals who had duped a retired officer from the Union Commerce Ministry of ₹ 1.7 crore by digitally arresting him for three days. At the same time, Cyber ​​Crime Police has got Rs 17 lakh 48 thousand frozen from the duped amount.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Cyber ​​Crime Shaivya Goyal said that cyber criminals had duped a retired officer living in Sector 62 of Rs 1.7 crore by digitally arresting him for three days by threatening him of being involved in a money laundering case. The report of the incident was lodged by retired officer Om Prakash Srivastava at Cyber ​​Crime Police Station on 16 September.

He said that the cyber crime police investigating the case arrested Prince Kumar, son of Naveen Singh, resident of Madhepura district, Bihar, Avnish Kumar, son of Anjani Kumar, resident of Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, and Vidyasagar Yadav, son of Surendra Yadav, resident of Darbhanga district, Bihar, on Thursday evening.

He said that upon checking the portal, it was found that more than six complaints had been filed against them in various states. He said that the fraud amount had gone into the accounts of the arrested accused. He said that the police is searching for other people involved in the incident.
