Lucknow, 13 September: A match is to be played between India and Pakistan on September 14 (Sunday) in Asia Cup on Sunday in UAE but before this, a protest has started on Saturday against the match. Regarding this, the workers of Rashtriya Chhatra Panchayat have burnt the effigy of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at the gate number 3 of Lucknow University.
It is taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28, 2025. The matches are being played in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format.
Students say that we have not yet forgotten the terrorist incident of Pahalgam. No relationship should be maintained with a terrorist country like Pakistan. The Indian team is going to play a match with Pakistan in the Asia Cup. The silence of BCCI in this regard is very shameful. We all students completely boycott this match. Also, we appeal to the countrymen not to watch this match at all. During this, the students burnt the effigy of BCCI and raised slogans in protest.
