Lohia Institute has made vital contribution in medical education and health: CM Yogi

Lucknow, 13 September: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that the Lohia Institute has an important contribution in the field of medical education and health. KGMU, Lohia Institute and SGPGI have set standards in the field of medical health and medical education in Uttar Pradesh today by working. A large number of patients from Nepal, Bihar and Purvanchal districts come to Lohia Institute for treatment.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the Foundation Day celebrations of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), said that health facilities have improved in the state. Earlier there were no ICU beds in hospitals. People could not get timely treatment. Today better treatment is being provided with teamwork. If there is a passion to work, then all things go well. We are moving in the right direction. Got to learn a lot during the Corona period.

Chief Minister said that by using technology we can stop the movement of crowd. Arrangements have also improved in PHC, CHC and District Hospital. People are getting treatment. He said that Charak and Sushruta are India’s gift to the world. India gave the world its first surgeon. We could not maintain that speed according to the time.

During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many construction works and also honored many doctors. On this occasion, Director of Lohia Institute, Prof. C.M. Singh made everyone aware of the achievements of the institute.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Secretary Medical Education and Health Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma were prominently present in the program.
