Prayagraj, 02 September: The Allahabad High Court has reserved the decision on the bail application of former SP MLA Irfan Solanki, Rizwan Solanki and others in the gangster act registered in the case of burning of a woman’s house. Justice Sameer Jain reserved the decision on the bail application after hearing on Tuesday.

In December 2022, the then Inspector Ashok Kumar Dubey had registered a case against Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki, Israel Aatewala and others under the Gangster Act at Jajmau police station in Kanpur. Along with Irfan, bail applications of Rizwan and Israel Aatewala are also filed.

The court is hearing all the three bail applications together. On behalf of the state government, Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal and Additional Government Advocate opposed the bail. While Irfan’s side was presented by advocate Imranullah.

Irfan’s lawyers said that bail of other accused has been approved in this case. Petitioners are also entitled to get the benefit of equality. While the state government opposed it and said that petitioners are the main accused and they are not entitled to get the benefit of equality. The court has reserved the decision after hearing both the sides.
