Ejazuddin alias Sabloo of D-2 gang held, Kanpur police takes out for public parade

Kanpur, August 25: The Chamanganj police of Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday arrested absconding D-2 gang history-sheeter Ejazuddin alias Sabloo in a case of extortion of Rs 1 lakh. Police took out parade to end the fear of the shooter among the public.

Chamanganj police station in-charge Sanjay Rai said that Zaid Bari, who lives in the area, had complained on August 14 about extortion of Rs 1 lakh. The victim had alleged that the extortionist was Ejazuddin alias Sabloo, a shooter of D-2 gang. A report was registered in this case. The victim told on August 19 that when he was going from his flat to his ancestral house, then on the way, shooter Sabloo and his brother Guddu alias Muddy stopped him for the purpose of extortion and threatened to kill him while demanding extortion at gunpoint. Scared, the victim gave 10 thousand rupees and said that he would pay the remaining 90 thousand rupees later. Several police teams were deployed to search for the accused and with the help of surveillance, Sabloo was arrested near Rupam Talkies. The accused had a lot of influence in the area, so the police arrested him and also took out a procession.

Police station in-charge Sanjay Rai said that 24 cases have been registered against the accused in Chamanganj, Begumganj, Bajaria and Jajmau police stations under several serious sections including murder, attempt to murder, Goonda Act. Along with this, he is also a history-sheeter from Bajaria police station. He has been arrested and sent to jail.
