PM Modi thanks global leaders for congratulating on 79th Independence Day

New Delhi, August 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed gratitude for the greetings extended by heads of state and government of various countries on the occasion of 79th Independence Day.

In response to the congratulatory message of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Modi said in a post, “President Zelensky, thank you for your warm greetings. I attach great importance to the joint commitment to building even closer ties between India and Ukraine. We heartily wish a future full of peace, progress and prosperity for our friends in Ukraine.”

Similarly, replying to an X-post by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Prime Minister Netanyahu, thank you for your warm wishes. May the India-Israel friendship continue to flourish. May both countries make this relationship stronger and deeper so that our people get peace, development and security.
