New Delhi, August 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in his address from the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day on Friday that the government will implement the Next Generation GST Reform on the occasion of Diwali. This will reduce the tax burden on the citizens.
Prime Minister Modi also announced the Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana in the country from today. He said that those who get their first job in the private sector will get Rs 15,000 from the government.
Regarding the Next Generation GST Reform, the Prime Minister said that under these reforms decided after review by a high-level committee, there will be a significant reduction in taxes related to the common citizen. This will make everyday items cheaper and the MSME sector will benefit.
The Prime Minister said that the government has also made the income tax system very simple. Recently, tax on annual income up to Rs 12 lakh has been completely abolished. He said that this step has brought great relief to the middle class and the salaried class.
