Sambhal, 6 August: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived on a tour of Sambhal district on Thursday and gifted development works worth Rs 659 crore to the district.
Chief Minister gave the gift of 222 development projects which include laying the foundation stone of 109 works and inauguration of 113 works. Along with this, he inspected the archaeological remains found during the excavation in Sambhal.
Addressing the program here, Yogi said that nobody can move forward by forgetting the heritage. I have come to Sambhal to remind this.
Taking a dig at the SP and Congress parties, he said that the Samajwadi Party used to get murders done and the Congress used to cover up their misdeeds. They used to do vote politics. We have come to do developmental politics. Money was not available for houses. Daughters were forced to leave school. There was no provision of toilets and drinking water in schools. Today schools have toilets, drinking water and other facilities. There is also a smart class. The previous government used to give one district-one mafia. Our government is developing the district by giving the scheme of one district-one product (ODOP). The double engine government is today providing education to the daughters of the poor. Along with this, it is also giving one lakh rupees for their marriage.
CM Yogi said that in the previous government there used to be riots, anarchy used to spread, neither daughters nor businessmen were safe. Today daughters and businessmen are safe in UP but rioters and mafia are not safe. He said that today many gifts are being made available to Sambhal. Rakshabandhan is on August 9. Janmashtami is on August 16. Lord Kalki is going to come to this land. We have to move forward with this resolve. We have to move forward with courage to fight the rioters. Those who sacrificed Sambhal for the riots will have to pay the price for it. Earlier, in the Police Line program, girls tied Rakhi on the Chief Minister’s hand. The Chief Minister presented them chocolates as a gift.
Chief Minister Yogi today presented 222 projects worth Rs 659 crore to the people of Sambhal. This includes the foundation stone laying of 109 works and the inauguration of 113 works, in which facilities of education, vocational education, drinking water, roads, Anganwadi centers and composite schools will be provided on priority basis.
