New Delhi, July 25: The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Friday again reiterated that India’s military operation ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is continuing and the forces are ready round the clock to respond to any audacity from the other side.
He stressed that it is important for the army to learn both ‘Shastra’ (war) and ‘Shastra’ (knowledge) and the level of preparedness of the armed forces should be very high 24 hours a day throughout the year. CDS Chauhan said that today we are standing at a turning point, which can be called the ‘third revolution in military warfare’.
CDS Chauhan was addressing the seminar on ‘Aerospace Power: Protecting India’s Sovereignty and Advancing National Interests’ under the aegis of ‘No. 4 Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Programme’ in New Delhi today. He reiterated that we are witnessing an unprecedented momentum driven by the continuous development of technology. This form of warfare blends kinetic and non-kinetic means, combining elements of first and second generation warfare with third generation warfare. It is an integration of tactical, operational and strategic areas.
