Lucknow, July 25: The Lucknow police arrested three criminals late Thursday night in the metropolitan area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, police said.
According to the police, a reward of Rs 25,000 each was declared on them.
Police station in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra told on Friday that vehicle checking was being done on the boundary wall road of GIC College on Thursday night. During this, three people riding a motorcycle were surrounded and the accused were questioned. The youths told their names as Neeraj, Pintu and Prakash Chandra, residents of Kamalganj, Farrukhabad. During the search, some money was recovered from them. Police station in-charge told that the three accused have been committing pickpocketing incidents in the district for quite some time.
He further told that on July 19 also, all three had committed a pickpocketing incident in the metropolitan area. A reward of Rs 25,000 each has been declared on the arrested accused. Earlier, on the night of July 23, the police had arrested Kuldeep in an encounter. During interrogation, he revealed the names of these three, after which this arrest was made. Police is taking further action against the accused.
