CM Yogi to inaugurate 91.35 km long Gorakhpur Link Expressway on June 20

Lucknow, June 19: Gorakhpur Link Expressway is ready to connect to Purvanchal Expressway via Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar and Azamgarh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate Gorakhpur Link Expressway on June 20. Link Expressway will make it easier for the people of Gorakhpur to travel to both ends of the state. Rs 7282 crore has been spent for the 91.35 km long expressway.

According to the Public Relations Department of Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority, the construction work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway, a priority of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, started from Jaitpur village of Gorakhpur. After starting from Jaitpur village of Gorakhpur, the last stop of Gorakhpur Link Expressway is Salarpur village of Azamgarh district. This is where Gorakhpur Link Expressway goes. After this, the link expressway joins the Purvanchal Expressway here and comes to Lucknow.

Nine more expressways will be built with 20 thousand crores

According to the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), Uttar Pradesh will get nine more expressways in the future. The cost of which will be 20 thousand crores. This includes the Farrukhabad Link Expressway of 90.84 km, which will connect the Agra-Lucknow Expressway with the Ganga Expressway. The Gorakhpur Siliguri Expressway will be built for about 519 km. Similarly, the Gorakhpur Shamli Expressway will be built for about 700 km. The Lucknow Link Expressway will be built for 49.96 km, which will connect the Purvanchal Expressway with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

The Jewar Link Expressway will be built for 74.30 km, which will connect the Yamuna Expressway with the Ganga Expressway via Bulandshahr. The Jhansi Link Expressway is going to be built for about 118.90 km. Preparations are on to build about 320 km Vindhya Expressway, about 120 km Meerut-Haridwar Link Expressway and about 70 km Chitrakoot to Rewa Link Expressway.
