Lucknow, 19 June: The state government is making preparations on a large scale for organizing International Yoga Day on June 21. The main program will be held at Raj Bhawan.
Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak will practice yoga at Raj Bhawan. The ministers of the government have been given the responsibility of different districts. Nodal officers are also being sent to many districts.
Brajesh Pathak will also practice yoga in Lucknow. Similarly, Keshav Prasad Maurya will practice yoga in Prayagraj, Minister Suresh Khanna in Varanasi, Swatantradev Singh in Gorakhpur, Jaiveer Singh in Agra, Yogendra Upadhyay in Kanpur, Asim Arun in Ghaziabad, Dinesh Pratap Singh in Kaushambi, Surya Pratap Shahi will practice yoga in Ayodhya.
Similarly, Baby Rani Maurya will practice yoga in Hathras, Laxminarayan Chaudhary in Aligarh, Dharmpal Singh in Meerut, Anil Rajbhar in Azamgarh, A.K. Sharma in Jaunpur, Om Prakash Rajbhar in Sultanpur and Dr. Sanjay Nishad in Kanpur countryside.
Apart from this, 31 senior IAS officers are being sent to the districts as nodal officers. In this sequence, M Devraj will practice yoga in Prayagraj, Manish Chauhan in Pratapgarh, Vijay Vishwas Pant in Kaushambi, Dr Raj Shekhar in Varanasi, Pinky Jowel in Mirzapur, Kanchan Verma in Gonda, Anil Sagar in Balrampur, Pranjal Yadav in Ambedkarnagar and Gaurav Dayal in Sultanpur.
