PM Modi to be in Visakhapatnam on 11th International Yoga Day

Visakhapatnam, June 18 The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will practice yoga in Visakhapatnam on June 21 on the 11th International Yoga Day.

The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is ‘One Earth One Health’. The state government is making special arrangements to make this event historic. The state government is preparing to make a record by doing yoga with five lakh people simultaneously on the beach located on Ramakrishna Beach Road in Visakhapatnam for Yoga Andhra-2025. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh are personally looking after its arrangements.

The state government is busy making the program of the 11th International Yoga Day to be held on the beach of Visakhapatnam historic. For this, preparations are being made to create a world record by performing yoga asanas with 5 lakh people on the Maidan beach. For this, arrangements are being made to perform yoga asanas on the beach from Kalimata temple located at RK Beach to Bhogapuram in Vijayanagaram district. 326 compartments are being prepared on the beach road. A small stage is being built at 40 feet in each compartment. Green carpets are being laid on the road near the main stage. LED screens are being installed on the main stage to watch the programs. According to the city police commissioner, the movement of vehicles on the beach road will be stopped from the 19th of this month.

Alternative arrangements in case of rain

On the orders of the Chief Minister, alternative arrangements have also been made at the Andhra University Engineering Ground. If it rains on the 21st, yogasana will be performed on this ground. If it does not rain, yogasanas will be performed on both the stages. The government is making arrangements for twenty thousand tribal students to perform Surya Namaskar in Andhra University. The Eastern Navy will celebrate Yoga Day on 11 warships stationed on the Visakhapatnam coast.

Rs 62 crore will be spent on the event.

This year, Rs 62 crore is estimated to be spent on the organization of Yoga Day. The government has released Rs 20 crore for this. Five lakh food packets are being prepared for those coming for yoga. Every person participating in the yoga event will be given a mat, T-shirt and food packet.

Two thousand CCTVs will be installed.

Three thousand temporary toilets are being built near the venue, Ramakrishna Beach. There will be 326 compartments in the entire area and a medical camp at every five compartments, two temporary hospitals with ten beds near the main stage and a hospital with ten beds are being built on the grounds of Andhra University. Green mats are being laid on the beach road for yoga practice. Two thousand CCTV cameras have been installed on the beach for tight security in the entire area. The responsibility of the event has been handed over to seven IAS officers. NCC and NSS volunteers have been trained about the services. A total of 6,300 volunteers will be used for this program. Ten thousand policemen will be deployed. A special command control room has been set up.

There will be QR codes and numbers on the mats.

Only one thousand people will be able to do yoga in each compartment. For this, numbers will be allotted on the mats. Compartment details will be sent to those who register on WhatsApp. The QR code will be scanned while entering. A senior officer has been appointed in-charge for each compartment. Those who practice yoga are being given a T-shirt and a mat. So far, 1.50 lakh T-shirts and 1.50 lakh mats have arrived in Visakhapatnam.

Governor Abdul Nazir said that ‘Yoga’ is India’s biggest gift to the world. In a statement, he has urged people to participate in large numbers in the International Yoga Day to be held in Visakhapatnam on the 21st. The Governor said that Prime Minister Modi will participate in the yoga festival in Visakhapatnam. It will be one of the biggest yoga events.” A yoga session was held at the Raj Bhavan in Andhra Pradesh’s capital Amaravati on Tuesday. Yoga guru Ramanand made the officials and employees practice yoga asanas.
