KGMU Trauma head on ventilator after he tests positive for Covid-19, Lucknow sees jump in covid cases

Lucknow, June 14: The number of corona patients is continuously rising in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Health Department, the number of Covid-19 patients in Lucknow have so far reached to 28. At the same time, Dr Sandeep Tiwari, Head of the Department of Trauma Surgery of King George Medical University (KGMU) has also tested positive for Covid-19. He was unwell for the last few days. First he was admitted to Lari Cardiology. After cardiac examination there, he was admitted to the Trauma Center. He has been confirmed to have corona in the investigation. Dr Sandeep Tiwari has been kept on ventilator. His condition is said to be critical.

Lucknow Chief Medical Officer Dr NB Singh told that so far 28 corona patients have been found in the district. In which the number of active cases is 20. All the patients are being treated in different hospitals of the city. Four patients are in home isolation.

Dr NB Singh said that there is no need to fear corona. If symptoms appear, contact the doctor immediately, get the necessary tests done and take precautions.
