Lucknow: Newlyweds who went to Sikkim for honeymoon still untraceable

Pratapgarh 12 June: The couple who went to Sikkim for honeymoon after marriage from Pratapgarh district met with an accident. No trace of them has been found since the accident on May 29, due to which the family is getting desperate. The family has appealed to the government and administration to find their son and daughter-in-law.

BJP leader Ummed Singh of Udaipur police station area told on Thursday that his 25-year-old nephew Kaushlendra Pratap Singh was married to Ankita Singh (26), daughter of Vijay Singh alias Dabbu, resident of Dhangarh Sarai Chivlaha village, on May 5.

According to Kaushlendra’s other uncle Dinesh Singh, the couple left for Sikkim by train on May 25 for their honeymoon and reached Mangan district on May 26. On 29 May, while returning from Lachen, during heavy rains, their vehicle allegedly fell into a thousand feet deep gorge i.e. river. Since then, their search is going on continuously, but the whereabouts of this couple have not been known yet.

As per the information, search operation is going on in the area around Teesta river and gorge. It is told that this incident has created panic in the family and Bhaiya and Bhabhi have appealed to the government and administration to find their son and daughter-in-law.
