UPSRTC bus kills woman, injured another in Lucknow, driver, conductor held

Lucknow, June 08: The Uttar Pradesh State Road and Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus hit two people including a woman on the national highway in Mohanlalganj police station area early this morning. The woman died in the accident and the young man is said to be injured. The police have taken the driver and conductor into custody.

In this regard, Mohanlalganj police station informed that this accident happened at 8 o’clock on Sunday morning. Roadways bus (UP 33 CT 2331) hit a woman and a man on the national highway towards Gaura ahead of Bindowa cut. The crowd caught the bus driver and conductor and took the injured to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the police reached the spot on information and started investigation. Meanwhile, the woman died during treatment in the hospital. The deceased woman has been identified as Ramadevi (38), wife of Hansraj, resident of Ganeshganj Bindowa, Mohanlalganj whereas Bindouwa resident Umesh is injured, who has been referred to Trauma Center PGI from CHC Mohanlalganj for better treatment.

Police has taken the roadways driver and conductor into police custody and registered a case and started further action.
