ESMA imposed in Uttar Pradesh to prohibit power employees’ strike

Lucknow, June 06: The Special Secretary of Energy Department in Uttar Pradesh, Rajkumar, issued a press release stating that the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) has been implemented across the state. Under this, no electricity worker will go on strike or protest for six months from now.

He informed that strike has been prohibited in all services under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Generation Corporation, Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation, Kanpur Electricity Supply Company KESCO, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam and UP Renewable & EV Infrastructure.
