Lucknow, May 26: The information about bomb threat via email in UP Family Welfare Directorate located on Jagat Narayan Road in Lucknow turned out to be a hoax.
On receiving information about the presence of bomb in the directorate, the police personnel of Wazirganj police station and the team of bomb disposal squad reached the location and thoroughly checked each room but nothing suspicious was found anywhere.
During the investigation by the bomb disposal squad, all the employees of Family Welfare Directorate were taken out of the office. The team came out empty handed after checking every inch of the office with bomb squad machines.
In this regard, Inspector in-charge of Wazirganj police station Rajesh Kumar Tripathi declared the bomb threat a hoax.
Tripathi told that even after thorough investigation for two to two and a half hours was carried out, nothing suspicious was found in the Family Welfare Directorate. On receiving a complaint against the person who sent the email, further action will be taken after investigation.
