New Delhi, May 17: After ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has decided to send seven all-party delegations to present its firm policies against terrorism on the global platform. These delegations will visit key allied countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council.
According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, this visit is being done in the context of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which symbolizes India’s continued fight against cross-border terrorism. The purpose of the delegations is to present India’s national resolve and its firm approach against all forms and forms of terrorism. These delegations will give the world a strong message of India’s zero tolerance towards terrorism.
Each delegation will include MPs from various political parties, prominent political figures and distinguished diplomats. The MPs leading the delegations include Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Baijayant Panda (BJP), Kanimozhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP-SP) and Srikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena).
Giving information about the government’s decision on social media, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that there is no doubt that when important moments come, India stands united. He described it as a powerful reflection of national unity above politics.
Congress leader and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Shashi Tharoor said that he feels honored for this invitation and is ready to offer his services in the matter of national interest.
It is noteworthy that Shashi Tharoor has become the main face of India’s views around the world since Operation Sindoor. In his talks with many foreign channels, he has presented the support and resolve of the Indian Army and India as a nation to the world.
On the other hand, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh informed on X that Congress has offered the names of four MPs as members of the delegation, which include Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, Dr Syed Naseer Hussain and Raja Brar.
Delegation member AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that this is not about any party. This is an important task and I am committed to fulfilling my responsibility.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad called it a symbol of the Prime Minister’s foresight. Sanjay Kumar Jha said that this is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s continuous efforts against terrorism.
Supriya Sule also accepted her responsibility and said that we stand against terrorism as a nation.
Shrikant Shinde, showing India’s firmness against terrorism, said that this is his responsibility which he will fulfill with full devotion.
