Doha, May 15: The POTUS Donald Trump today admitted that his role in stopping the military conflict between India and Pakistan was only helpful, he did not stop the conflict. Trump’s statement today is different from his previous claims, in which he was trying to take credit for the ceasefire.

For the last four days, President Trump was continuously repeating from different platforms that he played an important role in calming the growing tension between India and Pakistan. Today Trump said that if the situation was not handled, ‘a different kind of missiles’ could have been fired. He stressed that due to his efforts this crisis was averted and both the countries took the initiative to think in the direction of trade.

President Trump today met US soldiers at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. During this, he said, “I don’t want to say that I did it, but I definitely helped solve the problem between Pakistan and India last week, which was becoming more and more hostile and suddenly you started seeing a different type of missiles and we solved it.”

He said, “I hope I get out of here and after two days I don’t hear that the matter has worsened again… but I think the matter is resolved now.” He also said, “I can solve anything… but this matter has been going on for a thousand years. I don’t know that it is so easy to solve it.”

It is worth mentioning that India has been rejecting the role of America from the very first day. India says that the request for ceasefire came from Pakistan.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs had given information about the events related to the ceasefire in a timely manner. The Prime Minister had also said the same thing in his address to the nation. Due to Trump’s statements, many questions had started arising in the local politics of the country. His confusing statement evoked sharp reactions from international analysts and the media.
