Lucknow, May 11: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again strongly attacked Pakistan and the terrorism it fosters.
On the occasion of the inauguration of Brahmos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility at Lucknow node of Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that terrorism is the tail of a dog, which is never going to be straight. Those who do not believe in the language of love will have to be ready to answer in their own language. In this direction, India has given a message to the world through Operation Sindoor. Now the time has come when we all have to join this campaign under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in one voice to crush terrorism.
Chief Minister Yogi was addressing the inauguration program of Brahmos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility at Lucknow node of Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also participated virtually in this program.
Chief Minister Yogi and Defense Minister inaugurated the Brahmos production unit by pressing the button together. On this occasion, a book ‘Brahmand’ related to defense production was also released. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi also handed over appointment letters to the youth selected for this unit of Brahmos. A replica of Brahmos missile was also presented to the Chief Minister by the program organizers.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi congratulated the brave soldiers of the three defense forces of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for the success of Operation Sindoor and congratulated both on behalf of the people of the state.
Yogi said that you must have seen what is Brahmos missile and its might in Operation Sindoor and if you haven’t seen it, then at least you should ask the people of Pakistan what is the power of Brahmos missile. The Prime Minister has declared towards terrorism that any terrorist incident will now be like a war and remember that till we do not completely crush terrorism, the problem will not be solved.
Chief Minister said that it is necessary for any self-reliant country to achieve that goal itself instead of depending on other countries of the world for its defense supplies. Israel is an example of this, which has achieved the goal of self-reliance in the field of security. It has forced its enemy countries to face difficulties.
Chief Minister said that the goal that Prime Minister Modi set before India in 2014, Defense Manufacturing Corridor and Brahmos missile are part of that campaign. VDL is coming in Jhansi. Its work has progressed very fast. I can say with confidence that India will achieve the direction in which it has moved today. He said that in 2018, Prime Minister Modi had announced two defense corridors in the Union Budget, but the Prime Minister had announced where it would be built in Lucknow itself. 6 nodes were decided for this in Uttar Pradesh. Among these, the capital Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi and Chitrakoot were selected for the Defense Manufacturing Corridor. When the BJP government was formed again at the Center in the year 2019, Rajnath Singh, as Defense Minister, organized the Defense Expo in Lucknow for the first time in 2020. Then he had announced to set up a production unit of Brahmos missile in Lucknow.
Chief Minister Yogi said that our work is progressing rapidly on 6 nodes of the Defense Corridor within Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, we had launched the ammunition production center for the defense forces in Kanpur. Now land is also being demanded for its expansion. As soon as Brahmos was given 200 acres of land in Lucknow, PTC also came here. PTC has started production work as an anchor unit not only for Brahmos but also for many aerospace related works. About 7 anchor units related to Brahmos are being set up here.
He said that today we are producing and exporting several hundred times more than the defense production of India in 2013-14. Along with self-reliance in defense production, we are also working to fulfill the security needs of all the friendly countries of the world by exporting defense material.
Chief Minister Yogi said that our target in Uttar Pradesh was to invest Rs 50 thousand crore in 6 defense manufacturing corridors. This will also provide employment to one lakh youth here. So far, along with the Defense Expo, 57 MoUs have been signed with us from different parts of the country and the world, through which investments of about 30 thousand crores are going to be made only from the defense sector. I would like to thank Brahmos, PTC, DRDO, L&T and all the units who are providing employment to the local youth by training them.
Chief Minister said that before 2017, the state in which there were no jobs and migration took place, today investments are also taking place there and today the MSME unit is preparing a base as an anchor unit.
Yogi said that earlier companies had problems in coming here because there was no policy and there was lack of security. When the person is not safe, how will the capital be safe? Today the person is safe, the capital is safe and we are working strongly to fulfill the security needs of the country.
We are moving forward together. Today we have a rich infrastructure. The presence of DRDO center, Brahmos missile as well as PTC as an anchor unit and investments being made for other important defense production are a testimony to the fact that Uttar Pradesh is ready to discharge its role as a growth engine with full strength to supply India’s requirements in this direction.
He said that Uttar Pradesh stands with full strength in contributing to the self-reliance of the country’s defense production. Whatever land DRDO or other programs related to defense production like Brahmos will require here, the Uttar Pradesh government will help in it as before.
On this occasion, both Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, MP Brajlal, MLA Rajeshwar Singh, former minister Mahendra Singh, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and senior officials of DRDO, Brahmos Aerospace, PTC were present.
