Jabalpur, May 3: Angered and hurt by the terrorist incident in Pahalgam in an Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, Aan Mohammad Khan abandoned the Islam and accepted Hinduism. After this, he named himself ‘Sanju’ in the presence of local people and religious gurus and duly worshipped in the Ram temple.
Later, he drank pious Ganga water and married to his girlfriend by seeking the blessings of God to started a new journey of life. This entire program was kept completely religious and this ritual was performed away from controversies and pomp and show with a completely peaceful spiritual feeling. There was no external pressure of any kind on the youth Sanju.
A unique case has come to light under Ranjhi police station of Jabalpur in which a Muslim man Aan Mohammad Khan accepted Hinduism of his own will and married according to Hindu customs without any pressure. Shrishti Haldar and Sanju knew each other for the last three years. Shrishti used to go to learn typing while Sanju had a sewing machine repair shop. When the families came to know about their emotional relationship, they openly opposed it. After this, the girl’s mother clearly said that unless the boy stands in front of the court and adopts Hinduism, they will not accept this marriage.
On this, Sanju openly converted to Hinduism and gave social and religious acceptance to the marriage. He said that he was upset with the terrorist incidents happening in the country, so when Shrishti decided to fight the society and marry him, it was also his duty to give full acceptance to this relationship by adopting Hinduism.
Sanju and Shrishti first appeared before the SDM and got married in the court, after which the marriage was solemnized according to Hindu tradition in Ram Mandir. Workers of Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations were also present in this ceremony. Also, the girl’s parents were also present in the wedding ceremony.
