Kolkata, April 12: A video of an MLA of the ruling party Trinamool Congress has gone viral in which he is seen threatening voters and warning to teach a lesson to those who do not vote for his party. He is also heard saying when the central force leaves after the elections, “who will save you (from the Trinamool Congress)”.
The BJP has complained to the Election Commission regarding the video that was made and circulated on Thursday.
BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that this video has been sent to the Election Commission. The leaders of the Congress and the Left parties had maintained silence on this viral video.
The video of Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidul Rehman from Chopra in North Dinajpur has gone viral. In this, he is threatening the workers of BJP as well as other opposition parties and saying that when the central force leaves, “let’s see who will save you”.
Notably, after the 2021 Assembly Elections, there was massive violence against opposition workers across the state.
