Pan-India movie “Kantara Chapter 1” has minted ₹ 20.50 on its 8th day in cinemas across India, whereas three big budget films, Sikandar ( March), Son of Sardar 2 ( August) and Jolly LLB 3 (September) released in theaters in 2025 have begun crawling on their 8th day at the box office.
Rishab Shetty’s film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has completed 8 days of its run in cinemas across India. Since its release, the film has been receiving amazing response from the audience. Both the audience and critics praised the story underlining Sanatan culture and boar-headed God Panjurli who was sent by Lord Shiva to protect tribals, farmers and forests.
According to the report of Sacnilk, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has done a business of Rs 20.50 crores at the box office on the eighth day of its release, which is the lowest single day collection till date. Previously, the film earned ₹25.25 crore on the seventh day, ₹34.25 crore on the sixth day, ₹31.5 crore on the fifth day, ₹63 crore on the fourth day, ₹55 crore on the third day, ₹45.4 crore on the second day, and ₹61.85 crore on the first day. Thus, the film’s total Indian earnings have reached ₹334.94 crore.
Although the pace has slowed slightly, the film has fully recovered its budget. According to reports, the total budget of “Kantara Chapter 1” is approximately ₹125 crore, while the film has already earned over ₹446 crore worldwide within its first week
