4 goons including woman held for firing after a clash with guard in Lucknow

Lucknow, September 20: The Lucknow police on Saturday arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with firing in the air after an altercation with a guard at a mall in Sushant Golf City police station area in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow late Friday night.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Nipun Aggarwal said on Saturday that some people had fired in the air late last night at a mall falling under Sushant Golf City police station area. Based on a complaint filed by the mall, the police registered a case and started investigation. Police arrested Harsh Mishra, a resident of Gomti Nagar in Lucknow, Prince Verma, a resident of Asanl in Sushant Golf City police station area, Swati, a resident of Rishita Manhattan, and Rohit Patel, a resident of Sant Kabir Nagar. A licensed pistol magazine, five live cartridges, and an empty magazine were recovered from them.

DCP further apprised during the probe, it was revealed that on the night of September 19, they had gone to a mall bar in the Sushant Golf City police station area in Rohit’s car to have fun. When the guard asked them to leave, they all told him they would leave for a while and then started having fun. Meanwhile, Rohit and Prince came out. After some time, the guards again pressured Harsh and Swati to leave, and a fight broke out between them. Harsh and Swati returned to the parking lot and told Prince and Rohit about the guards’ actions. Harsh fired a shot from Rohit’s licensed pistol, causing chaos at the scene. Following the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested all four.
