Lucknow, 06 May: So far, 192 illegal madrasas are being run in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh, action is being taken against them by giving notice. In this, till Tuesday morning, sealing action has been taken against 80 madrasas and 11 madrasas have been bulldozed.
According to the information received from the spokesperson of the Uttar Pradesh government, action is being taken against the Idgahs, madrasas and mosques built by occupying government land in the districts bordering Nepal. In this, the action of demolition of madrasas in Shravasti district has become a topic of discussion these days. The Revenue Department and the District Administration have expedited the action of sealing and demolition of illegal madrasas in Shravasti. Apart from the illegal madrasas built on government land, Idgahs and tombs have also been demolished with bulldozers.
As per information, notice has been issued to 192 illegal madrasas in Shravasti district. Demolition action is being taken only when no documents are presented by the madrasa operators. The remaining madrasas have been given 48 hours. If the necessary documents are not produced during this period, action will be taken against all those madrasas as well.
